Dystopian Wars goes for the aerial route

So we can now finally get our hands on the Aerial battlegroups for DW.

These look great the FSA one has certainly caught my eye

CoA Prometheus Class Dreadnought

Well this is my Dreadnought for my CoA fleet keeping up the same colour scheme that is working relatively well still and so easier to achieve :)

CoA Pericles Fleet Carrier

This thing is a monster of a carrier so much height I am almost glad that LoS is based on the size of the ship rather than True LoS ;)

CoA Galen Escorts

Every big ship needs some escorts and when you have floating turrets as your escorts you are going to feel save ;)

CoA Diogenes Frigates

The little guys in my Covenant fleet the Frigates.

I admit it is probably a lazy colour scheme (drybrushing) but it works for me and on the table who notices ;)

Pericles Class Fleet Carrier – Review

Welcome to my latest miniature review for Dystopian Wars, today I shall be looking at the CoA fleet carrier.

What do we get in the blister then? Well as you can see below we get a good chunk of resin & metal which includes everything for the ship and also the 6 tiny tokens that it allows you to bring to the game.

As with all SG kits they are well made with amazing detailing going on all over the place and as you can probably see from the pictures hardly any cleaning up is needed.

The top section I like as for such a large ship it only has a small bridge always amuses me.

You get 6 launch railings for the ship each of them slightly different this is a nice touch and is always nice to see effort made to make sure something is not always the same.

The rear of the ship with the what I assume is the drone launching/loading mechanism just shows off SG eye for detail as once built you will hardly be able to see this part of the miniature.

Ignoring the fat fingers trying to hold up an unglued miniature you can see that it is certainly a unique ship almost gravity defying.

Finally a scale shot against the battleship to show not only the size of the carrier but also the height that the launch frame gives it. A very nice miniature overall..

Final thoughts

As with all the SG kits the Pericles works very well, with hardly any work needed for the cleaning it up although you will need to be careful when gluing it together ;)
