I would generally agree with what is said here so saves me having to write one of my own 
Although I do feel the AP strong tone will become my go to wash just because you get more bang for your buck. Although remember these alternatives may work differently from Devlan Mud depending on the colour.

I have also picked up a couple of Craft Paint Stains and will be testing them out over the next couple of weeks.
They were picked up at a clearance event for a couple of pence a pot – so I’m not sure the review will be relevant. However I’m interested in seeing how they work.
