Recently I have been digging around the world that Urban Mammoth are famed for in this case Urban War which is a Sci-fi skirmish game and it is rude not to look at one of those
Also how can you say no to gun totting cybernetic hookers? Sorry Biomechs……

So below is a series of links to whet the appetite for this game with the odd bit of artwork/shiny to tempt you
CHAPTERS – This will take you to the fluff of both the world know as Iskandria and the factions you can play.
Fiction - Some additional fiction for those who love a good story.
Speaking of the factions here they are;
- Junkers- grim convict legions

- Gladiators- warriors of the arenas

- Syntha- human cyborgs and robotic androsynths

- VASA- galactic enforcers of law and order

- Triads- clan warriors, contemptuous of outsiders

- Viridians- traders replying on pure firepower

- Koralon- alien symbiotes, wielders of unearthly power

Since we like to see where we are fighting here is the world of Iskandria;

So you been to all those links its time to have a read of the quick start rules from the download page which contains everything from faction sheets to reference sheets and tokens
Finally for after you have read the rules some additional Scenarios for you to play with. But before you do that then surely you want to read up on some Tactical guides that can help get the best out of your team.
Hopefully all these links and awesome artwork have at least let you consider a new game you may have not thought about before. Keep your eyes peeled for more UW content coming soon.

I’ve looked at this game many, many times. I am SO interested in it, and will try to convince my local opponents to try it out with me.
Biggest problem is the usual one: so many awesome factions, it’s hard to choose one!

I’ve played a few games of this, first with the free-to-download rules and then with the 2nd edition rulebook; it’s pretty good fun and since it takes so little time to play out a game, it’s easy to get a few done in an evening.
The main problem (in my opinion) is one endemic to most skirmish level games: because you roll so few dice, even a short run of bad dice can wildly change the game. This differs from large scale games like Warhammer Fantasy Battle (because you generally roll so many dice) or risk management games like Blood Bowl (because the rolling of low numbers of dice is factored into the wider game mechanics).
The miniatures are almost all either men with huge gas-masks or scantily clad women. We speculated that the air in Iskandria is filled with a gas that turns men into women (and makes them want to remove their clothes). They’re pretty cool though.
